What Sets Nagle & Associates Apart from Other North Carolina Car Accident Law Firms

NORTH CAROLINA CAR ACCIDENT LAW FIRM | NAGLE & ASSOCIATES

If you have been involved in a motor vehicle accident, finding the right legal representation is crucial. It can mean the difference between receiving a fair settlement and walking away with nothing. However, not all car accident law firms are created equal. At Nagle & Associates, our experience, focus, and fee structure set us apart from other accident law firms in North Carolina.

Experience is a Key Differentiation

One of the most important factors that set us apart is our experience. Our founding attorney, Carl Nagle, is a former insurance adjuster who worked for years in Atlanta, Georgia handling and paying claims arising from car, motorcycle and truck accidents.  He was trained as an adjuster to earn victims’ trust, and to work solely for his employer in the effort to question and minimize all claims.  Carl knows from direct experience that insurance claims adjusters are paid to oppose valid claims, and their sole objective is to pay as little as possible for all accident claims.

After law school, Carl went to work for an insurance defense law firm in Atlanta.  He worked for thirteen different local and national insurance carriers.  As an insurance defense lawyer, Carl defended at-fault drivers in court.  Working both as a claims adjuster and later as an insurance company lawyer, Carl learned all of the tactics that insurance companies use to minimize the compensation that victims receive for property damage and personal injury claims.

After leaving the insurance industry behind, Carl moved to North Carolina and devoted his career to helping victims of North Carolina roadway collisions.   He discontinued all defense work and all affiliations with insurance carriers, and now only works for crash victims and their families.  With nearly three decades of experience representing NC accident victims, Carl has mastered the laws of insurance, evidence, legal liability and damages.  We know how to build every case to maximize the net tax-free payment that our client receives following settlement or trial.

We also have four licensed North Carolina claims adjusters on our team who work alongside our lawyers. Carl knows that insurance industry experience gives our firm a distinct advantage as we push car insurance companies to pay maximum value for our clients’ claims.  Thus, we have always employed claims adjusters to assist with case development, to advise on current trends within the insurance industry, and to negotiate the best settlement for our clients.

Focus on Motor Vehicle Accident Cases

Another factor that sets us apart is our focus. We only handle motor vehicle accident cases.  Most personal injury law firms handle all types of personal injury cases – slip and fall, dog bites, medical malpractice, work injuries, disability claims, etc.  We are not aware of another North Carolina law firm that ONLY handles car, motorcycle, truck, pedestrian and other roadway collisions.   This high degree of focus allows us to retain cutting edge knowledge on traffic laws, auto/commercial insurance laws, trial evidence laws, and the law of damages.

We typically handle severe crash cases.  Thus, for decades, we have worked with trauma physicians, hospital staff, orthopedic and trauma surgeons, and the most elite physicians throughout North Carolina.  Because every one of our roadway accident cases involves traumatic injury, we have developed extensive medical experience and we know how to delve deeply into our clients’ medical records, how to communicate safely with doctors when necessary, and how to build and present all medical evidence to demonstrate the true nature  and extent of all injuries.   Our medical experience is an advantage in every case!

Lowest Legal Fee Benefits our Clients

The fee structure at Nagle & Associates sets us apart from other car accident law firms.  All personal injury firms, including ours, represent clients on a contingency fee basis.  Thus, when you see most firms’ advertisements, you see the claim “no fee unless we win”.  This is standard, and is what every accident victim should expect from their lawyer.  Simply put, “no fee unless and until we collect money for you” is nothing special.  This is our promise, and its the same promise that all personal injury law firms offer.

The key advantage for our clients is the amount we charge when we do collect money for your injury claims.  Nagle & Associates charges 25 percent of the settlement, whereas other firms charge 33 percent.  This means that our clients keep more money in their hands when the case closes. We believe that our clients deserve to keep as much of their settlement as possible, and we are committed to ensuring that they do.  Most of our cases involve serious injuries and in these high damage cases, we feel that a lower fee percentage still leaves ample compensation for our legal services while also giving a much larger share of the settlement money to our client.

Our litigation fee is 33/3%, or ⅓.   Almost all other personal injury lawyers charge 40% or 44% of any amount collected for their clients after a lawsuit is filed.  Most cases settle, so you should expect the lower fee to apply when your case closes.  However, if we have to file a lawsuit and litigate your claims, our fee percentage leaves more money in your hands following a successful trial.

If you have been involved in a motor vehicle accident in North Carolina, finding the right legal representation is crucial. At Nagle & Associates, we believe that our experience, focus, and fee structure set us apart from other accident law firms. Our deep understanding of the insurance industry, our specialization in motor vehicle accident cases, and our more reasonable fee structure allow us to provide exceptional service and achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients.
