CHARLOTTE, NC - A fatal motorcycle accident occurred on Father's Day in Salisbury, North Carolina. A car struck a motorcycle killing the motorcycle driver and passenger on Sunday, June 17, at about 7 PM on Airport Road. According to reports, a gold-colored Saturn driven by a black male ran off the road, overcorrected and was sideways across the road when it struck the motorcycle. It appears clear that the motorcycle driver had no warning, was driving safely, and had no chance to avoid the car that suddenly crossed into his lane. The driver of the Saturn fled on foot after causing this fatal accident and he is still being sought by the authorities. The unidentified man and woman on the motorcycle died of their injuries.
