Motor Vehicle Accidents Are a Major Cause of Traumatic Brain Injury

Education and Treatment

Following a suspected TBI injury, it is important to keep the individual hydrated and provide plenty of oxygen to prevent interruption of oxygen to the brain.

Additionally, prescribed medications should be taken exactly as instructed. A complete rehabilitation program is also essential and can aid TBI patients regain lost cognitive abilities and deal with psychological or emotional issues from the injury.
